Building my own is not so easy, but work is going on. Not this far yet.

First cutting and testing the fittings.

Then gluing all together.

After that, working on the inner skin. It wasn’t easy to fit the skin as tight as possible and in the right spot.

Followed by messuring, drawing, cutting and sanding the outher skin. It was even harder to get this skin lined upp on the frame.

About the Author

Some years ago I was looking/searching for a hobby what was possible to handle in a small appartment in town. I found a website describing the building of a RC-hovercraft. That was the start of a faboulous hobby. Now my first hovercraft is almost ready. A short time ago I started to build a R2D2. As a star-wars fan I now found some time to start to build my very own R2D2. Work is still going on, not fast, but getting forward. In about a year it should be ready (or nearrly at least). ;-)
